Hello!
We are Ryan + Danielle!
How did we become the owners of The Red Barn Weddings & Events you might be asking? Well, Ryan's family has owned The Red Barn over 25 years. In that time we have seen it go from a Nuts & Gifts Store, a Walnut Hulling & Shelling facility and it has most recently transformed into the new wonderful venue you see now.
In 2018 we decided that it was time to expand and change the future of this beautiful Red Barn. So with some research, elbow grease, and a lot of patience we dove into the permit process and renovations! We officially earned our permit in June of 2019 and from then on it was off to the races on transforming the property from a Walnut Huller to a Wedding Venue! After a full year of creating the bridal suite, groom suite, reception barn renovations, and adding a full 15,000 sq. ft. of lawn for the ceremony area we were ready to host incredible weddings & events!
That was until the pandemic hit just as we were ready to open. The world shut down and changed everything we know about having a special event with loved ones and friends. So, instead of giving up, we took the time to add and create more incredible spaces for the future weddings that will be held here. Now we have a large wooden arbor, stunning chandelier for some seriously romantic first dances, and a truck stage to hold either a band or a DJ so you can dance the night away under the stars.
Fun Fact: We were also an engaged couple when we renovated The Red Barn! So, Brides + Grooms we know exactly how you're feeling and what you're thinking! When renovating Barn we thought about all of the details we would like to see in a perfect venue. The Red Barn has it all. Large suites, romantic ambiance, enough space to spread out, and so much more! This year has been full of unique challenges but we're looking forward to wonderful years to come. We are excited to be a part of your upcoming wedding and other events. Contact us for a full tour and lets get your party on the books!

The Red Barn is rich with history, having been built in 1904, but the arbor carries a remarkable story of its own.
This hand crafted arbor was built using the original hardwood floors from the Chico State University gymnasium, installed in 1927. Those floors were walked on, played on, and cherished by generations of students for 76 years, until they were removed and replaced in 2003. Rather than letting that history fade, the wood was repurposed and transformed into the stunning arbor you see today, a true statement piece meant to be enjoyed for years to come.
Standing 12 feet tall, 11 feet wide, and 10 feet deep, the arbor provides an elevated three-step stage that offers a clear, unobstructed view of the ceremony, no more guests struggling to see the happy couple.
